Welcome to summertime! Or at least it feels
like it today. This is Michigan and the weather could change within a
few minutes!!
We had planned a Sparky Camp-A-Rama
for 2nd grade plaque achievers. This has been put on hold until June of
'08. The T-shirts are here, games all planned and the camp we will be
using is awesome. The bug in the ointment came when we did not have
enough inquiries within a timely fashion to have all the required paperwork
done. We will be presenting an opportunity to sign up for this
AT CONFERENCE in the Fall. Directors, if you a planning on using
this one day camp experience, you will have plenty of time to line up sponsors
and promote the date in your announcements throughout the club-year.

This summer is the perfect time
to plan a "refresher" for leaders. Our goal is to help YOU
serve the Lord to your very best potential!

GREETINGS FROM OTISVILLE!
We are privileged to be your Awana
missionaries. What a joy it is to share the gospel of Christ for 23 years via
this unique ministry.
Our major events are complete for
this club year.
Grand Prix is always a busy day!
This year the cars were more unique than usual. It's fun (from our side) to
see the clubbers check-in. The dads that have helped their children work so
hard on their blocks of wood gingerly hand them over. We are always careful
to share the gospel clearly so that the audience will understand their need
for salvation.
Quiz is probably Rick's favorite.
Our Ministry Team works very hard writing questions and being involved as
Quizmasters. The clubbers really shine for the Lord as they remember the
verses they have ingrafted into their hearts. Scripture memorized now should
be recalled when temptation comes along or they have life questions. The
medals and ribbons are tangible rewards that will fade. God's Word does not!
T & T Games and Sparks-A-Rama were
FUN!! The coaches did their job and practiced as much as possible. We had
the privilege of coaching a Sparky team from our home church. You NEVER know
what will happen on the game floor when the kids hear their fans cheering from
the stands!!
