Welcome to the New Year! January 2008
Trust your Christmas was spent with those you love, remembering that Jesus is the REAL reason of the season.
Now that everyday schedules are settling back into a routine, have you remembered to count your blessings? (no calories!)
WE HAVE!
Since the first of the year: a youth pastor called to let us know that his Awana club night had switched from Sunday night to Wednesday. Their very first night they had eleven visitors! Two young people asked the Lord to be their Savior!! Praise the Lord! He was very excited about upcoming events and getting more people involved in their program.
One lady game director was excited because they finally have enough kids in their program to have two game times - one for Sparks and the other T&T. The fun is contagious and kids are inviting their friends to club!
A Commander
shared recently that once a month his church is
providing an early dinner for leaders before club.
This helps them get to church on time and while they
are eating dinner he is able to go over basics with
them concerning their program.
THEY'RE ALL CATCHING THE VISION!
THESE ARE BLESSINGS!
The wintry months can sometimes feel dark and dreary...count those blessings! Look around! I love going to Sparks' club during the week, watching the kids pass sections, play games, sing songs, listen during Green Meadow Time as the Word is shared and yes, visiting after club so they can show me their wiggly, loose teeth! They grow up all too quickly. What a joy to share Jesus with them!
Keep looking UP!,
