March
- In like a Lion, out like a Lamb!
Where has the
time flown? Praise the Lord for the mild winter, not too much snow shoveling!
Now it's almost time to uncover the roses and start planting.
Time is flying
in club also. I reminded "my" Sparkies this past week that they should be 3/4
of the way through their books by now. Several of them are on their review.
What a blessing to hear them say verses. It's even nicer to see their
personalities blossom from the beginning of the year.
Rick and Miss
Michelle coached a Sparky team last week-end. The kids were excited and did
very well. I had the opportunity to sit in the stands with folks from our
church. Some of the parents really yell !!!
Our Sparky
(character) was a freshman that has looked forward to serving in that capacity
since she was in 2nd grade!! It's always a treat to see teens involved in a
ministry for Christ. She mixed well with the crowd and had a fun day! YEAH
Jordan!!
Grand Prix and
T&T Games were fun. The gospel was presented very clearly at each event
so folks would have the opportunity to respond. Several hands were raised to
show that they needed the Lord as Savior. We're glad that His Word never
changes and that we can share the gospel with others.
We have been
busy visiting clubs and sharing the Awana ministry at local churches. Please
pray that churches, Commanders and Pastors would "catch the vision" to reach
their neighborhood for Christ. As the Awana year comes to a close, leaders get
weary. Please remember to pray for them.
Our Ministry
Team and Rick are busy planning for Quiz on April 17th. We're trying something
different this year by having Quiz as the last event of the season. First
Baptist of Rochester has asked to host again. We're very grateful for the use
of their beautiful church. Once again, a gospel message will be shared. While
most people that come to Quiz profess to be Christians, we don't want to miss an
opportunity to share the Word and plant seeds.
We are very
thankful for prayer partners in the ministry! You are the fuel that we run on!!
We are also
grateful for financial support from churches and individuals. Michigan is
really hard-hit right now and we know that God has supplied needs in astounding
ways. (This past Sunday night at a church a little boy gave Rick an envelope
filled with silver coins that he had collected!)
We hope you are
looking forward to a GREAT Easter Sunday. HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN, INDEED!
