 | What Is Grand Prix?
|
Awana Grand Prix is a model car racing event popular among Awana Clubs nationwide.
Weeks before the race, clubbers purchase small, pine blocks of wood and plastic wheels
(see Awana Supply catalog) from which they construct their cars, usually with the help of
a parent or leader. During the actual Grand Prix, clubbers compete within two categories:
speed and design. The cars race on a wooden tour-lane track. Clubs award first, second,
and third-place trophies for each category. For info on this years'
